Iced-out Nike Air Prestige III Premium

What's up my ninjas and ninja-ettes? This post is a review/discussion of the Nike Air Prestige III Premium, from my personal collection.

If you haven't come across this shoe before, think of it as a slightly modified AF1. Essentially all the ingredients are the same as the classic, with practically the only difference being some slight changes to the angles/material placement of the upper, and a slightly different pattern on the sole. The fit, feel and overall look of the shoe are the same. It's hard to know why Nike would go to the trouble of releasing a new version with such minor changes to the original. I think it's because the AF1 has such a cult following that it actually restricts certain demographics who don't want to associate with the image/scene that the AF1 represents (Nelly/drug dealers from The Wire?). For this reason the AF1 also attracts a lot of attention when a new colourway drops, and by creating a low-key new shoe Nike has more freedom to experiment with colourways/material placement without starting a riot downtown. Be that as it may - if they dropped an actual AF1 in this colourway it would be an OFF-THE-CHAIN INSTANT CLASSIC!!

The description lists the materials as LEATHER/SYNTHETIC, and upon very close inspection it appears that Nike has pulled a sly switcheroo on this joint and made the tumbled leather out of vinyl, and the Nubuck out of actual leather! I feel like I just slipped into bizarro world! Anyway the results are legit. It's a nice shoe, and the ice-blue ice on the sole really brings it home. I know y'all can feel me when I say I'm a sucka for a bit of blue ice on my sneaks.

Well keep on playin, my playahz! Stay down for the next review, and keep a sneaky eye-out for my future posts in which I will be discussing some tips on selecting the right shoe for any occasion (from a first date to a court hearing), rocking kicks with different outfits, as well as sharing some golden gems from my wealth of experience in THE ART OF SEDUCTION.
